Finishes season on high note Woo (9-3) allowed three hits and a walk while striking out eight over five shutout innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Friday.
Impact Woo kept a scoreless line for the first time since Aug. 14 in his final start of the season. The 24-year-old had seven scoreless starts in 22 outings this season, establishing himself as a high-end starter with an emphasis on elite control in his second major-league campaign. He ends the year with a 2.89 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 101:13 K:BB over 121.1 innings.

Fades in sixth inning Woo allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Sunday.
Impact Woo was cruising until the sixth inning. He then gave up four runs, including a three-run home run by Wyatt Langford, on five hits and a walk in that frame, and the Mariners' bullpen couldn't maintain the lead over the late innings. There's some signs of fatigue for Woo -- he's allowed four or more runs in three of his last five starts after doing that just once in his first 16 games this year. He's still at a 3.02 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 93:12 K:BB over 116.1 innings across 21 starts. His last start of the regular season is projected to be at home versus the Athletics.

Pummeled for seven runs Woo (8-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing seven runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out seven over 4.2 innings.
Impact Woo had his worst outing of the season, tying his season-high in hits allowed and setting a new high for runs allowed while failing to reach five innings for the first time since July 27. The Yankees got to him with a pair of runs in the first and second innings before Juan Soto and Jasson Dominguez went deep off of him in the fourth and fifth to add on another three runs. Woo still struck out seven, which tied his season-best, and had 20 whiffs on the evening. He'll carry a 2.85 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 89:11 K:BB in 110.1 innings into a meeting with the Rangers over the weekend.

Has no-hitter broken up in seventh Woo (8-2) picked up the win over the Padres on Wednesday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk over 6.2 innings while striking out 5.
Impact Woo had a no-hitter going through the first six frames before giving up a solo homer to Fernando Tatis with one out in the seventh. The right-hander would then be relieved by Troy Taylor with two outs in the inning, though the former would still come away with his third win in his last four decisions. Woo has also produced quality starts in six of his last eight outings while posting a robust 45:4 K:BB over that stretch. On the downside, he's now surrendered at least one long ball in five-consecutive starts.

Picks up seventh win Woo (7-2) earned the win Thursday, allowing two runs on eight hits over five innings against the A's. He struck out six.
Impact Woo gave up eight hits in a start for the third time in his career, but worked around it to pick up the win. After giving up a season-high three homers in his last start, Woo served up another one Thursday, and he's now allowed at least one in each of his last four starts. The 24-year-old continues to be so effective thanks to his control, as he's only issued nine free passes in 99 innings. Including today's start, he hasn't walked any hitters in 11 of his 18 starts this season.

Coughs up three homers Woo did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Angels on Saturday, allowing four runs on five hits over 6.1 innings. He struck out three.
Impact The first two runs charged to Woo on the night both came off the bat of Jo Adell, with the first one coming on a 405-foot blast to center field in the third and the second coming on a leadoff shot in the sixth. The right-hander would go on to surrender a season-high three homers in the contest while also snapping his streak of five consecutive quality starts. Furthermore, Woo's three strikeouts Saturday marked his lowest total in that category since July 27 against the White Sox and he's now given up at least one long ball in three straight outings. Even with the lackluster performance, Woo still finished up the month of August with a 2.23 ERA to go along with an outstanding 34:3 K:BB.

Fifth-consecutive quality start Woo (6-2) picked up the win Sunday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits over seven innings against the Giants. He struck out seven.
Impact A throwing error and a home run put Woo into a hole in the first, but he rebounded to allow just three singles over the final six scoreless innings of his outing to pick up the win. It was the fifth straight quality start for Woo who has pitched into the seventh during each of those appearances, compiling a 1.59 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 31 strikeouts over 34 innings. He'll look for a sixth-straight quality start in his next matchup, scheduled to take place in Anaheim against the hapless Angels.

No help in loss Woo (5-2) allowed two runs on two hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out five over 6.1 innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Monday.
Impact Woo didn't allow a run to advance past first base over his first six innings, but Gavin Lux tagged him for a solo home run in the seventh. It was still a fourth straight quality start for Woo, who has allowed a total of five runs over 27 innings through four starts in August. He's now at a 2.12 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 61:9 K:BB through 80.2 innings over 15 starts this season. He's projected for a home start versus the Giants this weekend.
AUGUST 20 • ROTOWIRE
Strong start wasted Wednesday Woo came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Tigers, scattering four hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.
Impact The right-hander put together another brilliant performance, generating 29 called or swinging strikes among his 85 pitches, but Woo wound up settling for his third straight quality start and seventh of the season when his bullpen couldn't get the job done. Through three outings in August, he's delivered a 1.31 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 19:1 K:BB through 20.2 innings, and he seems fully recovered from the hamstring issues that began bothering him in late June. Woo will face a tough test in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week against the Dodgers.
AUGUST 15 • ROTOWIRE
Fans seven in quality start Woo did not factor into the decision in a win over the Tigers on Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over 6.2 innings while striking out seven.
Impact Woo was rolling early, posting a perfect game up until the top of the fifth when Bligh Madris tagged him for a leadoff single. The right-hander would then go on to surrender another three hits in the frame, including two for extra bases as Detroit jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Those would be the only runs allowed by Woo on the night as he recorded five 1-2-3 innings. He's now posted quality starts in back-to-back outings since exiting his start on July 27 due to hamstring discomfort. Over that two-game stretch he's also posted a robust 13:1 K:BB.
AUGUST 9 • ROTOWIRE
Tosses seven scoreless innings Woo (5-1) allowed five hits and struck out six without walking a batter over seven scoreless innings to earn the win Friday over the Phillies.
Impact It was the first time all year Woo has completed seven frames, and it was also his fifth scoreless outing in 12 starts. He also got ample run support from the Mariners, who swatted four homers and put up 10 runs in the win over the National League's top team. Woo lowered his ERA to 2.08 with a 0.87 WHIP and 43:6 K:BB through 60.2 innings this season. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Tigers.
AUGUST 3 • ROTOWIRE
Cleared to start Friday Woo (hamstring) is scheduled to start Friday against the Phillies at T-Mobile Park.
Impact Woo's status for the weekend series with the Phillies had been in question after he departed his latest start this past Saturday in Chicago due to a right hamstring discomfort. Even though Woo spent time on the injured list earlier in July with an injury to the same hamstring, the Mariners were apparently encouraged enough with how he checked out during his post-start throwing sessions to clear him for the Philadelphia series. Woo has had two separate stints on the IL this season, has been scratched from a start and has exited early in three starts, but he's been excellent overall during his time on the mound, posting a 2.35 ERA and 0.89 WHIP across 53.2 innings.

Impact Woo was removed after 70 pitches and reported pain in his right hamstring. the same hamstring he strained in mid-June that required an IL stint. Saturday's start was Woo's third since being activated from the injured list and he's still expected to make his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come Friday against the Phillies. Still, considering the touchy nature of the injury, fantasy managers should keep an eye on Woo's status leading up to his next start.
