Grant Delpit - Makes seven stops in Week 9 loss Delpit recorded seven tackles (five solo) in Sunday's defeat against the Chargers.
Impact Delpit finished second on the Browns in tackles, and he's now recorded at least seven stops in three of his past four contests. The strong safety has 53 tackles through eight games on the campaign, putting him on pace for the second triple-digit tackle season of his career. Delpit has been a stabilizing force in a Browns secondary that has often struggled this season.

Devin Bush - Leads team with eight stops Sunday Bush tallied eight tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's Week 9 loss to the Chargers.
Impact Despite the defeat, Cleveland did a good job getting to Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, racking up six sacks as a team. Bush had one of those sacks, pulling down Herbert for a two-yard loss with under a minute remaining in the second quarter. The sack was the first of the season for Bush and his first since he collected 2.0 sacks for Pittsburgh in 2021.

Myles Garrett - Dominant effort in loss Garrett had five tackles, 3.0 sacks and five quarterback hits in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Chargers in Week 9.
Impact Garrett and his mates in the front seven rung up six sacks on the day, but the secondary let them down with blown coverages that led to two long touchdown throws from Justin Hebert. The three sacks were the first for Garrett since Week 4 and gave him 7.0 for the season.

Dustin Hopkins - Minimal role in loss Hopkins made one of two field-goal attempts and his lone extra-point kick in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Chargers in Week 9.
Impact Hopkins connected from 38 yards early in the second quarter and later had a 51-yard attempt blocked. He's stuck on a team whose offense has been one of the worst in the league and doesn't project to get much better.

Jordan Akins - Three catches in loss Akins caught three of four targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Chargers in Week 9.
Impact After a one-target performance a week ago, Akins saw a modest increase in attention Sunday. He was on the field for 25 snaps, the most since David Njoku returned from injury, but there's no reason to believe the increase is anything more than a random one-game blip. The loss dropped the Browns to 2-7 as they enter a bye week, and the club may start preparing and developing for 2025. The 32-year-old Akins, in the final year of his contract, is likely not part of the organization's future.

Elijah Moore - Lots of targets, few catches Moore caught three of nine targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Chargers in Week 9.
Impact Moore has received healthy level of targets the last three weeks, averaging nine per contest, and amassed 154 yards during that stretch. That increase in attention was expected after the Browns traded Amari Cooper but not warranted. Outside of a few random efforts during Moore's 26-game stay in Cleveland, he's been unremarkable. The wide receiver is in the final year of a two-year contract and could be a candidate for trade with the NFL deadline looming Tuesday.

Pierre Strong Jr. - Back to third on depth chart Strong had two carries for eight yards and went untargeted in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Chargers in Week 9. He also returned two kickoffs for 47 yards.
Impact Strong dropped a notch on the backfield depth chart with the return of Jerome Ford from a hamstring injury. Strong dropped behind Nick Chubb and Ford on the depth chart and saw his opportunities diminish. For Strong to have a significant backfield role going forward, outside of an injury to those above him on the depth chart, the Browns would have to decide blow up the roster ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline and trade Chubb, who is operating on a one-year deal.

Jerome Ford - Three touches in return Ford rushed two times for five yards and caught one of three targets for two yards in Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Chargers in Week 9.
Impact The Chargers defense came as advertised and shut down all aspects of Cleveland's offense. Ford, who returned from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury, couldn't find any more room than starter Nick Chubb (15 carries, 39 yards). With the Browns down by three scores at halftime and eventually four scores, Ford was the backfield leader in playing time (36 snaps). The loss was another in a disappointing season in Cleveland, which enters its bye week (and the NFL trade deadline Tuesday) with potential roster decisions to make. That includes on Chubb, who is coming back from a serious knee injury and is in the final year of his contract. If the team moves on from Chubb, then Ford would be in line as the starter for the rest of the season.

Impact Njoku was third on the Browns in both receptions and targets, but that equated to very modest production yardage-wise on an afternoon where Jameis Winston was harassed by the Chargers defense to the tune of six sacks and there interceptions. Njoku does have at least five catches in four consecutive games, and he and Winston should benefit a more palatable matchup in a Week 11 visit to the Saints following a Week 10 bye.
