QB Stock Market Week 10: Baker Mayfield awakes the real Patrick Mahomes
Cody Barton - Solid outing in Week 10 Barton recorded seven total tackles (one solo) in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact The 27-year-old was the Broncos' second-leading tackler in Sunday's blowout loss, trailing just Devon Key's eight-stop performance. Barton has now accumulated 55 total tackles through Denver's first nine games this season, ranking second on the Broncos' defense in stops. Expect the Utah product to continue being one of the team's top tacklers ahead of Week 10's matchup against the Chiefs.

Devon Key - Logs eight tackles vs. Ravens Key recorded eight total tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact Key drew his second start of the season at free safety in Sunday's blowout loss and was one of the few bright spots on the Broncos' defense, leading the team in total tackles. The second-year pro has now played 107 defensive snaps across Denver's last two games, tallying 13 stops. Expect Key to continue making plays for the Broncos' defense as the team travels to Kansas City in Week 10.

Fruitful stretch run for Broncos relies on running game, defense and creating turnovers

The Denver Broncos are 5-4 at the midpoint of their season

Jonathon Cooper - Inks extension with Denver The Broncos signed Cooper to a four-year, $60 million extension over the weekend, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact A 2021 seventh-round pick from Ohio State, Cooper was set to hit free agency after the season before inking an extension with the Broncos over the weekend. Cooper has been a disruptive pass rusher over the past two years in Denver, recording 107 total tackles, including 14.0 sacks, and forcing two fumbles across 26 regular-season appearances. He's now expected to continue serving as the Broncos' top edge rusher and remain an integral part of the team's defense for years to come.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Jaleel McLaughlin - Eight touches against Baltimore McLaughlin carried the ball five times for 10 yards and caught all three of his targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact McLaughlin played the No. 2 running back role Sunday, playing 23 of the Broncos' 72 offensive snaps while starter Javonte Williams played 39 snaps in the contest. Through nine weeks, the 24-year-old McLaughlin is averaging just under six rushing attempts and roughly 23 yards per game. The second-year running back has not seen enough consistent involvement in Denver's offense to make him an attractive option for fantasy purposes. In addition, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports that Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Monday that rookie Audric Estime could see his role increase as the season progresses. Assuming that this comes to fruition, it would almost undoubtedly lead to even fewer opportunities for McLaughlin down the stretch. In what could become an even messier situation in the Denver backfield, the 24-year-old should not be trusted for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Chiefs.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Lil'Jordan Humphrey - Minimal production in loss Humphrey caught two of five targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact Humphrey played 35 of the Broncos' 72 offensive snaps Sunday, finishing second in wide receiver snaps behind Courtland Sutton (61). Additionally, the veteran wideout also earned the second-most targets behind Sutton while operating as the team's No. 2 receiver. Humphrey is having an underwhelming 2024 campaign, recording just 21 receptions for 188 yards through nine games. The 26-year-old should not be trusted for fantasy purposes as the Broncos visit the Chiefs in Week 10.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Troy Franklin - One grab in Week 9 Franklin caught one of four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact Franklin finished Sunday's game third in targets behind fellow wideouts Courtland Sutton (10) and Lil'Jordan Humphrey (5). Unfortunately, the rookie receiver was only able to reel in one pass from quarterback Bo Nix. Though Nix and Franklin have begun to develop their chemistry in the NFL after playing together at Oregon, the pair will likely continue to be inconsistent as the Broncos' offense goes through growing pains during the 2024 campaign. Franklin will look to bounce back in Week 10, albeit in a tough matchup against the division-rival Chiefs.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Devaughn Vele - Quiet against Ravens Vele secured two of his three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact Vele has earned three targets for the third-straight game, yet he continued to struggle to make much of his opportunities. In five games, the rookie wideout is averaging under four receptions per game for roughly 35 yards per contest. Vele played 29 of the Broncos' 72 offensive snaps Sunday, tied for third amongst wide receivers with fellow rookie Troy Franklin. The 26-year-old should continue to struggle for fantasy purposes as Denver's No. 4 receiver when the Broncos visit the Chiefs in Week 10.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Audric Estime - Role could grow in second half Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Monday that he anticipates Estime playing more frequently down the stretch, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Impact Since returning to action Week 6 following a four-week stint on injured reserve due to an ankle injury, Estime has been lightly sprinkled into Denver's game plan. He's played between two and seven snaps in each of the last four contests, carrying 13 times for 81 yards while going without a target. Though Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin currently remain ahead of Estime in the pecking order, the efficiency that that rookie has shown in his limited sample thus far could motivate the coaching staff to increase his workload in the weeks to come. With Williams headed for free agency this spring and uncertain to be retained by Denver, Estime could have a real chance at heading into 2025 as the team's starter if he continues to run effectively while seeing his snaps tick up over the second half of the season.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Adam Trautman - Minimal involvement in loss Trautman caught his lone target for four yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact Trautman came crashing back down to Earth after an impressive Week 8 performance, as the veteran tight end was targeted just once by rookie quarterback Bo Nix against Baltimore in Week 9. The 27-year-old was an afterthought in the contest despite operating as the team's No. 1 tight end. Trautman played 44 of the Broncos' 72 offensive snaps, ahead of both Nate Adkins (27) and Lucas Krull (21). The 6-foot-5, 253-pounder remains difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Chiefs.
NOVEMBER 4 • ROTOWIRE
Wil Lutz - One field-goal attempt in loss Lutz made his lone field-goal attempt and converted his only extra-point tries in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact Lutz accounted for four of Denver's 10 points Sunday, as the veteran kicker was seldomly called upon on a day in which the Broncos' struggled to move the ball efficiently. The 30-year-old continued his perfect streak on kicks, connecting on a 37-yard field goal late in the second quarter. Lutz now boasts a 95 percent field-goal success rate heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Chiefs.

2024 NFL odds Week 10: Lines, spreads for all 14 games
Audric Estime - Flashes in garbage time Estime carried the ball five times for 35 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact It was the rookie RB's best performance yet, but most of Estime's production came on a 21-yard gain on Denver's final possession of the fourth quarter while facing a 31-point deficit. The 2024 fifth-round pick is still third on the backfield depth chart behind Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin, but the latter's struggles this season -- after rushing for only 10 yards on five totes Sunday, McLaughlin has averaged 3.9 yards per carry, a huge drop from his 5.4 YPC in 2023 -- could open the door for Estime to earn a bigger role in the second half of the campaign.
NOVEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Courtland Sutton - Caps big day with TD pass Sutton caught seven of 10 targets for 122 yards and threw a two-yard touchdown to Bo Nix in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact The veteran wideout produced the Broncos' only TD of the afternoon, just not in the way anyone likely expected. Sutton has erupted for back-to-back 100-yard performances, posting a combined 15-222-0 line on 21 targets, and he'll try to get back into the end zone himself for the first time since Week 6 in next Sunday's road tilt against Kansas City.
NOVEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Javonte Williams - Productive on reduced volume Williams carried the ball 12 times for 42 yards and caught two of three targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens.
Impact It was only the second time in the last six games that Williams failed to get at least 17 touches, but the fourth-year RB salvaged his day with a 34-yard reception that accounted for the longest gain of the contest for the Broncos. Williams has reached 80 scrimmage yards in four of those last six games, but he could have a hard time getting there in Week 10 against a stingy Kansas City run defense.
NOVEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Bo Nix - Tough passing day Sunday Nix completed 19 of 33 passes for 223 yards and an interception in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens. He added 36 rushing yards on six carries and caught a two-yard touchdown pass...
Impact While the rookie QB was able to supply a little value as a runner and surprisingly as a pass catcher, Nix still has his worst performance as a passer since Week 2 -- the last time he threw more INTs than TDs. It was an especially disappointing effort given the struggles of the Baltimore secondary this season and the fact that he had a 7:1 TD:INT over his prior four games. Nix may have a tough time rebounding in a Week 10 road clash with Kansas City.
