Since the ETFs started trading, there\u2019s been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/283057\/spot-bitcoin-etf-inflows-volume-record\">record inflows and trading volume<\/a>, with total net inflows now at over US$12 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Institutional adoption of Bitcoin was the major reason for Bitcoin\u2019s recent price rally to an all-time-high of over US$73,000 in March 2024. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2024\/03\/18\/standard-chartered-raises-year-end-btc-forecast-to-150k-sees-2025-high-of-250k\/\">bank\u2019s analysis<\/a> focused on how gold prices moved following the introduction of gold ETFs in the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"indent-wrapper\"><div class=\"indented-text\"><span><em>&#8220;We think the gold analogy \u2013 in terms of both ETF impact and the optimal portfolio mix \u2013 remains a good starting point for estimating the \u2018correct\u2019 BTC price level medium-term,&#8221; Standard Chartered said.<\/em><\/span><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecb.europa.eu\/press\/blog\/date\/2024\/html\/ecb.blog20240222~0929f86e23.en.html\">European Central Bank warned<\/a> it could be a flash in the pan, stating: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"indent-wrapper\"><div class=\"indented-text\"><span>\u201cWhile in the short run the inflowing money can have a large impact on prices irrespective of fundamentals, prices will eventually return to their fundamental values in the long run.
