Instead, I merely like it &#8211; largely because of its corporate aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not a chair I&#8217;d rush to buy for my home office because I&#8217;m not a corporate guy &#8211; and I don&#8217;t want my home office to look like a Westpac cubicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(I may be strawmanning a little to illustrate my point &#8211; I&#8217;m pretty sure Westpac got rid of cubicles back in 2005).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"arrow-wrapper\"><div class=\"arrow-list\"><ul><li><strong>If the Steelcase Leap<\/strong> was priced at around $700, I&#8217;d forgive this flaw. In reality, it sells for more than 2.5X that price. It allows you to recline, but its motion isn&#8217;t as smooth as that of the<a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow noindex\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"ErgoTune Joobie\" href=\"https:\/\/arielle.com.au\/recommends\/ergotune-joobie\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\"> Ergotune Joobie<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best way to describe the experience is &#8220;gritty&#8221;. While the Joobie rocks back like a balanced pendulum, the Leap lets you know that a few plastic parts are rubbing into each other to prevent you from falling backwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"indent-wrapper\"><div class=\"indented-text\"><span>If you love to rock back in your chair during meetings, the Steelcase will be a chair you&#8217;ll learn to live with rather than enjoy.<\/span><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>By the way, don&#8217;t spec your Leap with a headrest if you&#8217;re taller than 190cm.
