In other words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"arrow-wrapper\"><div class=\"arrow-list\"><ul><li><strong>Can<\/strong> the F2F meeting be replaced with a video call?<\/li><li><strong>Can<\/strong> the video call be replaced by a recorded desktop video?<\/li><li><strong>Can<\/strong> the desktop video be replaced by a screenshot?<\/li><li><strong>Can<\/strong> a screenshot be replaced by an email? <\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you decide that a meeting is necessary, be sure to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"arrow-wrapper\"><div class=\"arrow-list\"><ul><li><strong>Know the purpose <\/strong>of the meeting. Have a specific agenda for it. Then, only include relevant attendees: those responsible or accountable for achieving the meeting\u2019s goal.<\/li><li><strong>Be purposeful in how you run the meeting<\/strong>, even if it\u2019s a casual check-in \u2014 commit to being attentive, distraction-free, honest and sincere. Encourage the same in others by creating standards of behaviour (i.e., no phones, no interrupting, no side conversations).<\/li><li><strong>Require everyone to prepare in advance.<\/strong> Share any documents to be read, past meeting notes to review, or brainstorming prompts beforehand and give people sufficient time to consider these before meeting to seek input.<\/li><li><strong>Follow up<\/strong>, by sharing the outcomes and next steps in writing after the meeting.
