Ready for 2022 season Edwards (forearm) is fully recovered from his forearm injury suffered in the Eagles' wild-card loss to the Buccaneers, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Impact Edwards played a significant role on the Eagles' defense beginning in Week 9 last season, where he played at least 88 percent of the defensive snaps from that point on. Although Edwards is not expected to keep that prominent of a role, he should still be a main fixture of the Eagles' defense in 2022.

Impact Edwards sat out the Eagles' Week 18 matchup against Dallas because the team had clinched a playoff spot, and he was forced out of the wild-card loss to the Buccaneers due to a forearm injury. However, he topped 100 tackles for the first time in his career during his third professional season. Assuming his forearm injury doesn't significantly impact his availability ahead of the 2022 campaign, the 25-year-old once again should play a prominent role in Philadelphia's defense next year.

The former undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin has now accrued 116 tackles (59 solo) despite playing fewer than 50 percent of the defensive snaps in the first seven games. Since he started playing a majority of the snaps, Edwards has averaged 10.5 tackles per game.
