INJURIES

Ready for Sunday Vea (hip) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the 49ers, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Impact Vea practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week due to a hip injury; however, it now appears he'll play through the issue Sunday. The Washington product has impressed through eight games this season, recording 30 total tackles, including 5.0 sacks, and one pass defended. Expect Vea to serve as Tampa Bay's top interior defensive lineman in Week 10.
6 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Limited to open week Vea (hip) was a limited participant at the Buccaneers' practice Wednesday.
Impact Vea recorded a season-high 10 total tackles (seven solo), including 2.0 sacks, in Monday's 30-24 loss to Kansas City. The defensive lineman appears to have picked up a hip injury in the contest and he'll look to raise his participation level at the team's final two practices of the week before Sunday's contest against the 49ers.

Stuffs stat sheet in loss Vea recorded 10 tackles (seven solo) including 2.0 sacks during Monday's 30-24 overtime loss at Kansas City.
Impact Vea added another impressive chapter to his career in Week 9, amassing double digits in the tackle department for his first time as a pro. His two sacks were also his fourth and fifth over the last six games. While it might not always show in the box score quite like it did Monday, Vea remains one of the most impactful defensive players in football heading into a Week 10 tilt versus the 49ers.
NOVEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Season-high tackle total in loss Vea posted five tackles (four solo), including one for loss, in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
Impact Vea's tackle tally was a season-high figure and marked his fifth game this season with at least three stops. Vea remains a key run-stopping presence in his seventh season, and he's also contributed 3.0 sacks after recording 12 over the previous two campaigns.

Active versus Baltimore Vea (hamstring) is active for Monday night's game against the Ravens.
Impact Vea was a late addition to the injury report Saturday, getting listed as questionable. However, an earlier report Monday from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler had Vea as expected to play. He's good to go for a showdown with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
OCTOBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Expects to play Monday Vea (hamstring) is expected to play Monday versus the Ravens, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Vea was a late addition to Tampa Bay's injury report Saturday, when he apparently picked up a hamstring issue, but it seems like he'll suit up in Week 7 regardless. It's bad news for Baltimore's rushing attack, as Vea is as impactful against the run as any other player in the league.
OCTOBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Late addition to injury report Vea (hamstring) did not practice Saturday, and he is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Baltimore, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Vea was a full participant in practice Thursday and Friday, but he popped up on Saturday's injury report due to a hamstring issue. Given his late addition to the injury report, that could make Vea game-time decision for Monday's game unless the team announces his status earlier. Greg Gaines started at nose tackle in for Vea earlier in the year while the latter was dealing with an MCL sprain in his right knee.
OCTOBER 19 • ROTOWIRE
Extends sack streak to three games Vea tallied four tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, during Sunday's 51-27 win over the Saints.
Impact Vea logged a sack in his third straight game Sunday, as he got to Spencer Rattler midway through the second quarter, which led to a Blake Grupe 29-yard field goal on the next play. Vea is up to 3.0 sacks on the year, and he'll look to extend his sack streak to four games in Week 7 against the elusive Lamar Jackson.

Estimated as limited Vea (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimation.
Impact Vea returned to the field in Week 4 after missing the Buccaneers' Week 3 loss to the Broncos, posting three total tackles across 38 defensive snaps. The 2018 first-round pick will likely still suit up for Tampa Bay's divisional matchup against the Falcons on Thursday night unless his participation downgrades Tuesday or Wednesday.

Will play Sunday Vea (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Vea was unable to play in Week 3, but he'll return to the field in Week 4 against Philadelphia. The return of the Washington product is great news for Tampa Bay's defense front, as one of the best run-stoppers in the league.
SEPTEMBER 29 • ROTOWIRE
Listed as questionable for Week 4 Vea (knee) was a limited participant in Friday's practice and has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Philadelphia.
Impact Vea sprained the MCL in his right knee in Week 2 against the Lions, which forced him to sit out Week 3 against the Broncos. The 2018 first-round pick was a limited participant in all three practices this week, and he has given himself a fair shot at returning Sunday from a one-game absence. Greg Gaines would continue to see extended snaps at nose tackle if Vea was ruled out for Sunday's game or operated on a snap count.
SEPTEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Officially ruled out for Week 3 Vea (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Vea was initially tagged as doubtful for Sunday's game after not practicing all week. Now that he's been ruled out, his next opportunity to play will be Week 4 against the Eagles on Sept. 29. Greg Gaines will step up into the starting nose tackle role and enforce the Bucs' interior defensive line.
SEPTEMBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Unlikely to play Sunday Vea (knee) was a limited participant in Friday's practice and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Vea is working through a Grade 2 MCL sprain he sustained in the Bucs' Week 2 win over the Lions. He opened the week with back-to-back DNP's, and while he was able to practice in a limited capacity Friday, the 2018 first-round pick isn't expected to suit up Sunday. Greg Gaines is the top candidate to slot into the starting nose tackle spot should Vea be inactive.
SEPTEMBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
DNP to open week Vea (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Vea suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in Tampa Bay's Week 2 win over Detroit, and the 2018 first-round pick is considered day-to-day. His practice participation Thursday and Friday will provide a better indication of his availability for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
